A Little about Ould Newbury

Ould Newbury Golf Club, a nine hole semi-private club in Newbury, Massachusetts, was officially opened for play on Labor Day, September 4, 1916. The basic philosophy of Ould Newbury is to provide an enjoyable golfing and social experience while trying to maintain a dues level that encourages membership in the club. We welcome all golfers and strive to provide activities for all interests.

The club officially opens for play around the second week in April and closes around Thanksgiving. The public is permitted to play on Monday through Thursday morning, but must play with a member as a guest on Thursday afternoons, Fridays, weekends and holidays.

Tee times are required for all players. Please call the Pro Shop at 978-465-9888 for tee times.

  • Members may make tee times 7 days in advance
  • Public may make tee times 2 days in advance.

The public is welcome to enjoy The Pub every day, as long as it is not closed for a private event!

Nice, Wendy! Do either of them want to be on our board? 🙃

I love this…. How many people can you name?

Great Pic! Grew up at the great club doe 60 years! I don’t recognize anyone but I was only 8! This club has been a special place to the Trussell family for 70 plus years! Great people and great memories!

I can see Dottie, Alex and Judy Burns. I remember the days when I was Superintendent there having coffee on the deck.
